Prices for services in beauty salons have increased in St. Petersburg

Experts found that in January — March 2024, the average number of checks increased by 22%, while salon turnover increased by 29%. There is an increase in demand for more expensive care, injection and hardware procedures. At the same time, not only haircuts, but also manicures, pedicures, and even laser procedures are becoming in demand.

Also, spa salons began to be visited by 16% more, and the average number of receipts at fitness and sports centers increased by 21%, the publication clarifies.

The rise in prices of services is a natural trend, according to experts quoted by the media. They attribute this to a 10-15% increase in price tags for professional care products, as well as an increased desire of people to take care of themselves during a crisis in order to reduce anxiety and stress.

Previously, experts studied 31.5 million receipts and found that a basic set of women's cosmetics in 2023 cost 4,642 rubles.
