He will be charged soon.

A criminal case has been opened in St. Petersburg against the general director of the company whose bus fell into the Moika River on May 10. The man was charged with falsifying the unified state register of legal entities, the press service of the Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee for St. Petersburg reported.

It was established that the 49-year-old man was a fictitious general director of Taxi LLC — after he submitted documents for the company to the tax office, he no longer participated in the work of the company. According to the investigation, the suspect, no later than January 16, 2023, agreed with unidentified persons to have information about him as a manager entered into the Unified State Register of Legal Entities for 13 thousand rubles.

To date, the suspect has been given a preventive measure in the form of a recognizance not to leave the place. In the near future, the Investigative Committee intends to bring charges against him under Part 1 of Art. 170.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (falsification of the unified state register of legal entities).

The day before, a court in St. Petersburg arrested the head of a convoy in the case of a bus that fell into the Moika River. Prior to this, the bus driver was placed in custody until July 9. The man blamed the cause of the tragedy on a faulty brake system.

Let us remind you that the fatal bus accident, which killed seven people, occurred on May 10. The bus broke through the fence of the Potseluev Bridge and fell into the water.
