Russians may be fined in 2024 for growing potatoes in their dachas for subsequent sale.
Junior lawyer of the Yakovlev and Partners group Anastasia Asabina, in an interview with RIA Real Estate, warned that Russian residents who grow potatoes in their dachas for sale risk receiving a fine of up to 500 rubles for violating the rules for the production of seeds of agricultural plants. According to her, we are talking about Article 10.12 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation.
» The fact is that the law prescribes the purchase of potatoes for sowing with a view to further selling the crop in stores specially designed for this, ” the lawyer noted, adding that the norm does not apply to those Russians who grow vegetables in their gardens for personal consumption.
At the same time, summer residents-commercialists who regularly receive income from the sale of vegetables from their gardens and do not have the appropriate state registration can be prosecuted under Article 14.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation and fined from 500 to 2 thousand rubles.
In addition, Russians are subject to fines for not mowing hogweed on their plots and for growing drug-containing plants.
