St. Petersburg is among the top economically strong regions

A rating of the socio-economic situation of the regions based on the results of 2023 has been compiled. Experts distributed the subjects depending on the volume of production of goods and services per capita, budget revenues, and social indicators.

Moscow took first place among the regions — the capital scored 94 points. St. Petersburg took second place (89 points). The top three was completed by Tatarstan (82.9 points).

In last place are Tyva (14.9 points), Jewish Autonomous Region (16 points) and Ingushetia (17.9 points). However, even in the group of outsiders, the rating score increased, which indicates an improvement in the socio-economic situation, the study authors noted.
